How far do we cycle during the tour?

We have tours to suit all kinds of riders. Our tours usually run for 6 hours and we average a distance of 25-30km per ride. During the ride, roughly every 5km, we stop at various locations for wine/beer tastings and pictures, therefore it is not a continuous 25- 30km ride. We’ll set a pace that is comfortable for all and explain how to ride in a group safely. Most of our tours are for leisure bicyclists who want to experience the Niagara wine/beer country.

What is included in the tour?

Every tour includes: one winery tour, tastings at four different wineries, snacks throughout the ride, a support van to carry all your purchases and belongings, and a sit-down meal.

What happens if it rains?

Tours run rain or shine. Make sure to come prepared in weather suitable clothing.

Do you do private tours?

If you organize a group of 10+ riders, we would establish a private tour just for your group.

Do you have set dates for every tour?

We will gladly work with you to make your preferred tour date possible.

What is the tour terrain like?

The majority of the tour is on flat terrain. You are mostly riding on country roads, enjoying the beauty of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

How many people will be on your tours?

It varies. There could be anywhere between 5 to 20 participants per tour.

Can you accommodate people with food allergies?

Yes. Just let us know in advance so we can take this into consideration when preparing meals or choosing places to eat.

What time does the tour start?

Most tours start at 10:30am and finish around 5:30pm. Please arrive at least 15 mins before your tour is due to start. We try and get away on time so please take into consideration travel times.

What must I bring on the day of the tour?

You must bring a bike, helmet, water bottle, clothing suitable for the weather and enclosed footwear. If you have a handbag, you can put this in the support van, or you could bring a small backpack for items that you can’t fit in your pockets. You may choose to rent a Premier Cycling Tour bike and helmet for $20.00.

Can I purchase wine on the tour?

You can purchase wine/beer from any location visited throughout the tour. All purchases will be stored in the support van, so that you can ride with no extra baggage.

Is there a place to keep all my valuables and purchases?

All your valuables and purchases will be kept in the support van that follows the tour group.

How do I reserve a spot for a cycling tour?

The best way to register for a tour is to send an email to hector@premiercyclingtours.com with your name, contact information, number of participants and tour date. You will be required to fill out a registration form and pay the full tour amount to reserve your spot.

When can I pay for my registration?

Spaces per tour are limited therefore to secure your spot you must fill out the registration form and pay the full tour amount. It is recommended to sign up early to reserve your spot.

What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, we do not refund your tour registration fee. If for some reason you cannot attend your scheduled tour date, we will give you credit up to a year to join us for a future tour.

Do you offer any discounts?

Since our prices are lower than your average cycling tour, we do not offer discounts on your first tour. However if you do decide to join us again, a month or years later you will be given a discount for supporting Premier Cycling Wine Tours.

Are there a minimum number of people required for booking a tour?

There is no minimum number required to book a tour, however on the rare occasion that there are less than five participants on any given tour, arrangements will be made to arrange an alternative tour date if possible.

Why are your prices lower than other tour companies?

We control our overhead cost to accommodate our guests. By us saving and focusing on our costs, we can pass our savings along to our guests so they can enjoy an affordable and unforgettable tour.

What are the payment options?

The payment options for the tour are by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Please make the cheque out to “Premier Cycling Tours” and the e-transfer can be sent to hector@premiercyclingtours.com.

Our tours are all covered with liability insurance; therefore you do not have to provide your own personal insurance.

What happens if my bike breaks down?

We are very sorry when this happens. It does occasionally happen and it’s something out of our control. If your bike breaks down during the tour you and your bike would be required to ride in the support van.

You can use any style of bike for the tour but please bring a bike that is in good working condition. We would recommend that you use a hybrid bike, but in all reality any bike would work.
